Hello! I’m Shannah, and I am here to help you conquer the potty training mountain! As a a mother of a toddler and a baby and a former special education teacher, I understand the challenges you face and am excited to walk and share next to you as you begin (or continue) your potty training journey. Way to go–you’re helping your child on his or her first steps into the land of independence. We’ve got this. You’ve got this!
I first heard of Oh Crap! Potty Training when it was time to potty train my first child. Jamie Glowacki’s methods not only make intuitive sense, they play out for success in real life. My child was potty trained at 17 months and I told everyone I knew about this fantastic method and book. Later, when my child had a small regression, I joined a forum with Jamie and found the support there reassuring and helpful–our little detour was nothing more than a blip, my child taking on more independence. So many of my friends have also had success with this method that I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I have helped parents potty train many, many children as a former teacher. I love helping children learn and I love helping children become independent and I love talking to parents about their challenges with their kids.
Because it can’t be “all potty training, all the time,” here you’ll also find other useful things for parenting toddlers: activity inspiration, parenting tips, something to laugh at, and a few thoughts on living life with my own children. Come in, look around the website, and let’s learn something together to help you and your child!
